The Nautical Safari is a 1-hour cruise facing the south face of the Perito Moreno Glacier, one of Patagonia's natural icons. You set off from Puerto Bajo las Sombras (70 km from El Calafate) and approach the glacier from the water, with a completely different perspective from the traditional walkways.
The boat is enclosed and comfortable, with panoramic windows and an outdoor deck so you can step out to photograph the floating icebergs and the occasional ice calvings. The cruise moves slowly in front of the south wall, in full connection with the surroundings.
It is the ideal tour if you are visiting the glacier with your own car. And if you want us to pick you up, with "Pick me up at the hotel" you add the round-trip transfer plus the visit to the panoramic walkways. Low difficulty, suitable for all ages.
Times may vary depending on lake conditions and the weather.
All excursions depart from El Calafate and visit the Perito Moreno Glacier, but each one offers a different experience. Compare price, duration, difficulty and experience — and tap each excursion to see its page.

If you have little time or just want the cruise → choose the Nautical Safari. A 1-hour cruise facing the south face of the glacier, from a boat with panoramic windows. Suitable for all ages and the most affordable option.
If it is your first time on the ice or you are travelling with family → choose the Minitrekking. It is the most popular Perito Moreno excursion: 1h30 walking on the glacier with crampons and a guide, from age 8, medium difficulty. It includes a cruise and a whisky toast with ancient ice.
If you want to see the glacier without walking on it → choose the Walkways. The panoramic balconies facing the glacier wall, suitable for all ages and with no physical effort. The classic, must-do visit.
If you are after maximum adventure and are in good shape → choose the Big Ice. Up to 3 hours walking into the heart of the glacier, exploring crevasses, seracs and ice caves. Requires ages 18 to 50 and good fitness.
If you want to touch the ice without putting on crampons → choose the Safari Azul. You cruise the Rico Arm, walk through the forest and get close enough to touch the south wall of the glacier with your hands. Suitable from ages 6 to 70.
