📖 The excursion

Torres del Paine Full Day excursion from El Calafate

The Torres del Paine Full Day from El Calafate is a 15-hour expedition that takes you to the heart of Torres del Paine National Park in Chile — one of the most spectacular parks in the world. The tour runs in Overland 4x4 vehicles with specialized guides from Argentina and Chile.

Crossing the Patagonian steppe to the Cancha Carrera border crossing, you enter the park from the south: a scenic route that skirts Lago Toro and the Río Serrano with views of Monte Paine Grande, Almirante Nieto and the Glaciar Grey.

Trekking to Salto Grande and the Cuernos del Paine

The main activity is the 1.5-hour guided trek from the Lago Pehoé area: a walk to Salto Grande (an impressive waterfall) and the Cuernos del Paine viewpoint on the shores of Lake Nordenskjöld. Lunch is enjoyed with a panoramic view of the Cuernos. The excursion ends at Laguna Amarga, the famous Torres viewpoint.

The route is circular, of low-medium difficulty and suitable for all ages. Those who prefer not to do the walk can wait for the group in the vehicle.
